Yes, the problem is acute in many cities of Russia, and indeed the world, too, but it is in Russian Parkour, I see the wrong perception of Parkour.

Do you think these guys know the technical aspects of thoughts, tips to find a professional article? No. At least the majority.

They go to the hospital, parents are spending money on the operation, they undergo a long period of rehabilitation, often attempt to continue. But family members relate to this already very different - Parkour and injure any benefit from it can not draw. What's the problem? In that originally elected the wrong way.

During the city shares «select sports!» CCM 6-7 in September, I had the talk with a lot of people, including parents of the younger generation who are interested in Parkour. Just five minutes to explain to adults what is Parkour, as are training and what the rules should stick to anythingt trauma dangerous for child - five minutes!

Tutorial ex."Push-Up-Frog"

Several times I had collide with a not very pleasant situation on the train, but first the background. Initially, when Parkour has appeared in St. Petersburg, all of those involved - have always been responsive, helped each other and supported. This applies not only to St. Petersburg, but all was well. Just so states philosophy because Parkour community, it was easier to grow and move forward, agree together is always easier.

The post is dedicated to those people that make all the contrary. The most unpleasant, that the recent such incident was repeated during a training block for beginners PKSPA. Naturally, it comes to training different people - different ages, growth, sex and physical training. But in practice, all are equal. And I find it intolerable to voice any criticism to any of the train, if that something does not work. It is a negative criticism, i.e, point person on its weaknesses or inability to perform one or another element. There is no way that the first time get everything without error and shortcomings, and if it is, in individual cases.

Turning to the beginners in Parkour, I would like to give a little advice. Provided that you are recently engaged, and your progress may not be the most memorable - not upset, and even more envious to other people who can learn quickly. Also, do not focus on others successes and not be aloud to say what you think - it might hurt another person because of his shyness and insecurity.

Why such a question was raised? Among tracers always prevailed understanding and responsiveness. At any training session, we help each other, which raises the motivation and we believe more in themselves. Naturally, it does not all have the strength and courage to come to tracers on the street or come to the first training session in the gym. Originally, we all overcomed fear of first meeting and the first attempt to do something, but all this is happening in different ways. A superfluous word, may disqualify the person from chosen case, to deprive of confidence in themselves and throw Parkour immediately, though perhaps he just needed a little more time.

The moral of this story is: Do not judge, do not be judged.

Girls in Parkour

There are already depends on the personality of its impact, of trying something achieve and prove ourselves first and foremost and not others, to which she is capable. And in St. Petersburg and Moscow, and in other cities there are girls who are much talented young people and some of Parkour can show more than ambitious young that kill their feet clumsy somersault.

Russian Parkour Movies (part 2)

The second movie about Parkour filmed in Russia became movie "The Defiant days" screened in 2007. He attracted big attention in the Russian Parkour community, and despite the slightly experienced game artists, and comicality some scene was one of the most loved films.

Book "Wild Parkour" in English

Lost part of Parkour

Maxim yesterday made me think about the changes the minds of modern Russian tracers . Below I present the progress of his thoughts and facts that really have a place to be. I think this story will see mainly those engaged in year two, and those who started their own, without any help or support. Do not leave unattended, write their comments - whether it agrees with your beliefs and feel whether you are discussing the changes? 

What about Parkour, and so much changed in Russia for some 3 years? It seems that all is proceeding more or less well: there are people with experience that they can deliver, the programs and methods of training, people start deliberately for their development, there are high-quality videos which shows a good technique of displacement. But what we lost during this period? 
I think we stopped to see the romance in Parkour. That pulled us into an art originally. Remember your first few months of training - this is excitement in the mind with only one thought on the train, remember how you stood to train early in the morning before classes or how you until late in the night train. It was a pleasure after a good practice to sit somewhere on the roof and talk. Just sit and enjoy. Now, this part of Parkour somewhere has disappeared. The Spirit of Parkour gone away and it took a dry materialism. People were trained to obtain legal relief from becoming only once and then, after these exercises stronger, faster, better. Ceased to receive pleasure from the exercises, each performed movement. All work created by a pattern and practice plans. I do not want to say that this has only harm, but it makes the training process in the monotonous repetition of the same movements. I think we lost the romance disappears and the spark that lit the first time and for this reason many of us leave Parkour - is that we have very serious task to perform. Serious challenges for understanding beyond our mind. It is difficult to realize a large amount, but we find it hard to understand that we are moving to the big goals in small steps. Hence, many dropped out of Parkour, thinking that it is not developing. To remedy this, I would advise to create a goal of «global», that is, those that you want to accomplish in 1-2 years and the goal of «daily», that is the goal that you must seek every day. By setting small goals every day and doing them - you get satisfaction from the work done and of knowing that today you have become a bit better than had been before. It instills self-confidence and improves your self-esteem. Every day, small goals are summed up in one big - «global» goal. I think that is a good way to development.
Parkour - these are three factors: the desire to grow, the desire to help others, and romance. Remove any of the factors and this will be no Parkour. Live, grow, help others get the pleasure of movement, of development and smiling =)
